ZPartner Extension Initial Setup

ZPartner Extension Initial Setup

Step 1 - Authorization

After installing the ZPartner for CRM Extension from the Zoho Marketplace, open the web tab "ZPartner Settings". You should see a screen similar to the one below. If you have already authorized the Zoho Partner Store connection immediately following the installation, then you can skip this step. If not, click the "Authorize" button. The datacenter your CRM is in should automatically be detected.

Review and accept the permissions when prompted. Your CRM user must have access to the Zoho Partner Store. If it does not, have someone else setup this connection.

Successfully authorizing the extension does NOT confirm that your user has access to the Zoho Partner Store API.

Step 2 - Download data from Zoho Partner Store

Click the "Download Store Data" button to download the data to temporary storage within your browser.

If something goes wrong, it is very likely that your Zoho User Account does not have access to the Zoho Partner Store. Make sure you are the primary user on your Zoho Partner Store account.

To change the user that is used in the connection, simply go to Setup > Marketplace > All > Installed > ZPartner for CRM > Configure > Integrations and revoke the connection.

Step 3 - Confirm Download Counts and Import to CRM

Once you start the download, you should see progress as the app downloads the data from the Partner Store. This data is temporarily stored locally so that you can confirm all your data was downloaded correctly.

For more advanced users, you can review the data that was downloaded by using the download button next to each type of record. This will provide you with the raw JSON data provided by the API.

If you have a lot of records to import, there could be significant API calls made to submit this data. Assume roughly 1 API credit used for every 100 records inserted

If the number look reasonable, click the "Import Data To CRM" to import the data to the CRM.

The "CRM" counts will steadily increase as data is created in the CRM.  Once the load is done, you will see an "Activate" button that will complete the process.

That's it! Review the configuration settings page and adjust any settings as needed. All of your data should now be available for review in the modules "Partner Subscriptions", "Partner Transactions", and "Partner Commissions".
